What's happening in the district
Huairen ceramics is already one of Shanxi's first ten key specialty towns, and the public service platforms, ecommerce channels and export nodes are taking shape. Below is publicly verifiable progress: listing here means plugging into a chain that is already running, not starting from zero.
Ecommerce and platform access
The district runs seven dedicated ceramics storefront zones on Tmall, JD and other major platforms, and has signed a cross-border ecommerce agreement with Alibaba.com. The ceramics e-town incubator and a mass ecommerce training programme keep supplying operators.
Export nodes
The Yiwu global sourcing centre acts as the hub, linked to a Jingdezhen brand marketing centre and a Linyi cloud warehouse, with a Taiyuan cultural-product experience centre and a Xinjiang Silk Road centre in preparation.
Public services and standards
An integrated inspection centre, a ceramics metrology and testing centre and a science-and-art innovation centre have been coming online. Local firms co-drafted GB/T 13522-2024 for bone china, the district's first participation in writing a national standard.
Complete local supply chain
Raw materials, decal firing, packaging, ceramic machinery, kiln furniture, kiln construction, moulds and transfer-paper design are all chained locally, so changing a pattern or a mould needs no cross-province coordination.
